Classroom-Students just as teachers spend their lion's share of their time in the classroom.
The classroom should, therefore, be a stress-free environment where students and teachers
feel comfortable investing so much time.
Some basic features that a classroom should have, include-
Proper infrastructure which encompasses suitable benches or tables & chairs, blackboard
or whiteboard, notice board, proper ventilation and ample space for the free movement
within the classroom.
Safety measures like fire extinguisher, proper exit facility and earthquake resistant
buildings along with the installation of cameras in corridors.
Classrooms should be equipped with dustbins and cleanliness and hygiene should be promoted.
A sense of belongingness should prevail among the students so that they can ask their
queries and discuss topics with the teachers and among themselves.
Competence, which enhances students' capability to successfully meet their
goals and promote growth and development.
Teachers can increase students' sense of competence by providing appropriately
challenging tasks, giving formative feedback, and helping students recognize
their own strengths.
The teacher should see that discipline is maintained and students come to school
regularly and encourage healthy teaching practices so that classrooms can hold its
essence of developing a child's strengths.
Thus it is essential to have a well-managed classroom to improve classroom efficiency
and create an environment conducive to learning.
